Frequently asked questions

What is person-centred life coaching?
Person-centred life coaching focus on your own experiences and potential. We work with you to facilitate self-discovery rather than giving advice. We find this is particularly empowering for LGBTQ+ individuals.
How is coaching different from therapy or counselling?
Coaching is forward-focused and goal-oriented, whilst therapy typically addresses past trauma or mental health concerns. Many LGBTQ+ folk find that coaching can complement any therapeutic treatment.
How are sessions carried out and how long do they last?
All of our sessions are carried out online, this allows us to be flexible to hold your sessions at a time that suits you. Sessions tend to last around 1 hour and we tend to advise not going more than two weeks between sessions.
Are sessions a safe space and are they confidential?
Our sessions are dedicated to you and we provide a safe space for you regardless of your sexual orientation and gender identity. We are committed to confidentiality as detailed in our coaching agreement with you. The only exceptions to this are our legal limitations (risk of harm to self or others, legal requirements).
How much does coaching cost?
We appreciate that coaching can be costly and may not by high on your priority when it comes to budgeting. We have priced all of our services competitively to make coaching as accessible as possible.
Our initial consultation is free and you can take advantage of our ‘Pick Your Own Path’ offering to have an individual session for £40, with discounts for three or five sessions. Our Queer Joy Life Coaching Programme of ten sessions is priced at £300. We also offer payment plans to help you spread the cost of your coaching journey. Contact us for more details.
